CONVERSION (or How to Please Others by Destroying CONVERSION (or How to Please Others by Destroying Yourself) Otherwise known as the film formerly known as ASYLUM. Probably my proudest project to have had the pleasure to direct and produce during uni. CONVERSION is a screen-dance film following a bisexual man in the 60s descent into madness as he undergoes intensive conversion therapy in a mental asylum as he is haunted by the visions of his ex partners, and slowly tears himself apart physically as the treatment tears him apart mentally. This was the first experimental film I've gotten to make, and it was great working in such a new medium, with opportunities for the stunning visuals provided by our cinematography team. I am very excited to announce that CONVERSION will be hitting the festival circuit soon!

This was the first drama film I had the opportunity to write and direct, and having time to sit with it and work through it since its inception and production, although it is not what I had originally imagined, the project came out well, and I am proud of what our team managed to accomplish with a script that didn't know what it wanted to be. I am immensely thankful to those who managed to make this film happen, with a massive thanks to the NFS staff and the crew who produced it.
